My babe is 10 months today!

Today Gavin is 10 months and part of me thinks it went so fast and another feels like he's been here forever. I think shoulder surgery in the mix and me not able to hold him for two months made it go fast and slow in certain parts (glad that's over).
It's so funny how very different the two boys are...Gavin is so laid back and content. The only time he is upset is when he wants love and to be held (which lately has been alot :) He has such a sweet spirit and is so stoic, he just quietly takes life in. Now if I can just get him to eat food and not the boob milk all day...that's gonna be quite the feat. Jason and I joke that for his 1st bday we will have to make him a cake that looks like a boob or he won't want anything to do with it. HAHA
I love you Gavin, sweet boy!

Finally some family pics!!!

Posted by Picasa

How funny! I didnt realize this posted, oops! I started to post some pics and one of the kids needed me (shocker) so I never got to finish! We had some pics (228 to be exact) done by my dad's friend the other day and I was very happy with how they turned out. The place wasn't what we were hoping for...he got kicked out of the gorgeous place we were supposed to go! (more on that later since I can't be late for yoga!) Anyway here are a few pics and I will TRY to post more later but since I work at 1 I doubt it will happen. Miss everyone!

Pint Sized Date!

Its been forever since I have posted. I am learning I am not a good blogger, I tried xanga a couple years ago and never did it much when Logan was a baby and now I hardly do it on here! I have not been on the computer much but not sure why. I guess it's not the easiest place to be with a 3 yr old and 9month old destroying everything. Nap times are never at the same time so there ya go. I miss everyone!!
Anyone enough of my excuses, Gavin has had a runny nose the last few days so yesterday instead of a family day, it turned into Jason staying home with Gavin while I went to church with Logan. (I was serving in the nursery so had to stick with the ol committment.) After, I decided Logan and I haven't had much one on one time since the boob addicted baby has been around so we went out just the two of us: After church we went to Paradise Bakery at San Tan Mall and split tomato soup and a salad (he loves that) then we went to his fave place Barnes and Noble where they have a Thomas the Train table. he played and I just watched him and his little brain work, it was nice to watch him and play with no other distractions and see how big he is getting. Then we went to the play area and I watched him play for awhile, went to a couple stores, saw the dogs and then played AGAIN for awhile before heading home. I love dates with him and it had been awhile so we were very overdo. It is so neat to see how he has grown and is talking like he is an adult or something, when did that happen? Anyway I love him!

Other news: none, I have just been doing my super deep clean I do every year before Thanksgiving. I know my guests have no idea I just cleaned the fans but I like to have everything clean before I decorate for Christmas which always happens in our house AFTER thanksgiving. I have too many cute Fall things I dont like to pass up, and besides, people are coming over for Thanksgiving, not Christmas. (If any of you decorate beforehand, kudos to you, I am not preaching I am against it, and have even thought about doing that, but my house is cuter with Fall stuff and this is my rationale to be lazy :-)

Well if I dont get back on here in the next few days, HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!

Photo Tag!

Here is the 4th photo in my fourth file. It is Gavin's 7 month folder! You almost got pictures of curtain rods I was selling but luckily that was the 3rd pic!

Happy Halloween

So last night we had so much fun. We went across the street to my neighbors for our tradition of having her yummy burrito things for dinner. I forget what its called but its yummy! We have the best neighbors ever and have become good friends and all our kids play so well. They are all older than my kids but now that Logan is able to play with them, they have so much fun and are very protective of him.
After dinner we rushed to finish putting on costumes and off we went! This is the first year Logan didnt cry and scream the whole time so it was a much more enjoyable holiday for everyone. My In laws came over to see the kids dressed up and my brother too. We had a great time! So the first pic is last year, haha. What a difference thank goodness. Gavin was tired so he passed out for most of trick or treating, I was just glad he didnt cry. (And he kept the hat on, something Logan wouldn't do when he wore that constume. Logan had fun riding in his chariot, and much fun was had by all!

Logan turned three on Friday and I just want everyone to know how amazing he is! He is the sweetest most loving boy to his family and baby brother. Loves hugs and kisses and says the cutest things (except lately sounding like he's saying the F word, NICE!) He loves having his back scratched and snuggling at night before bed, he hates to brush his teeth, always wants string cheese for breakfast and a waffle with peanut butter, he LOVES milk and would drink it all the time if I let him. Im Baaack

Well I haven't posted in forever. We went to California for a much needed vacation and had an amazing time, also I have been working alot more lately so when I am home with the kids there isn't much time for bloggin. I have been keeping up with my amigas though, just haven't been commenting (sorry). Anyway, I am thankful I have the opportunity to work more than I may "want to" with the way the economy is. I know some families would kill for some extra work so I definitely am thankful for the opportunity to throw a little extra in that savings account.
Anywoo, let's talk about California. We had an amazing time spending time together and just being able to relax instead of passing the kids back and forth as we each head to work (or so it seems some days). My parents went also and they were amazing to help with the kids and give Jason and I a little time alone. One night we drove about 40 minutes to Coranado Island and looked around. Talk about a whole nother world! It was breathtakingly beautiful and the Hotel Del was so neat, it is the oldest working and largest wood built hotel in the world or country or something. Here are a few pics of the trip. I would post more but Logan is destroying the den, I just found his "hiding place" behind the bookshelf that he has been putting stuff in. (I was wondering where my little pumpkin candles went :-) Hopefully I can post more later!

Oh and some cute exciting news is that last night Gavin kept waking up and fussing even to the point where I finally brought him into bed with me and he still wasn't happy (very unusual for him) Finally I gave up and brought him downstairs and he just moaned with his eyes closed, it was so sad but cute. (don't worry, I am getting to the exciting part and past the sad part...) Finally, I got a brain and felt his mouth and there was a itty bitty sharp point sticking through!Poor baby, 4 teething pellets later and he was konked out. The little guy got his first tooth, you cant see it yet but I will try to get a pic when he wakes up.

Awww out of the heat!

Hello everyone, this message is coming from amazing weather in Flagstaff! Since Jason left Thursday to come up hunting, my aunt invited us to stay at her cabin and then Jason just joins us at night to sleep.
Have fun in the torturous weather down south and I will see you soon, (hopefully, when Jason gets back, I will have lots of scrapbook days stored up). :-)

I'm sicky, hope you don't get sicky...

So like a century ago...ok four months ago, my amigas and I planned a 12 hour scrapbook day! We have been so excited and waited and waited for the day to come to ditch the fam and get caught up on some pages! Weeellllll, I woke up after a rough sleep night Friday (Sat morn) feeling quite gross and was in denial that I was maybe getting sick. I never get sick! Supposedly the lovely fever Logan had last week and slightly passed to Gavin more than likely turned into Strep throat for me

Well since I'm a true Scrapper (according to Tiff, hehe) I stuck out the 12 hour scrapfest and had a great time binging on sugar and Some Burros, and of course managed to get some pages done. I also managed to breathe those 12 hours all over my sweet innocent friends so I pray none of you got this gross stuff! Anyway, I HOPE I am almost done with it but my throat is still on fire and I am so wanting to be done with this by now. I even missed my Nana's Bday dinner at my parents on Sunday. The one and only time I am alone in my house with the world at my fingertips, I am sick and miserable so I basically tried to sleep while they were gone (would have rather have been scrapbooking...) Anyway, gotta try to sleep while the boys are asleep, Gavin has been a little pig at night lately (must be growing).

To my poor friends, I hope you are well and not hating me right now!!! :-)

Big Boy!

So today Gavin is 6 months old! I can't hardly believe it! Part of me thinks the last six months have gone so slow (ie. shoulde surgery and recovery which has been the last 3 months of his little life, not being able to hold him and take care of my kids or myself for that matter, was quite interesting) And then part of me thinks it has gone so fast, half a year is a long time and he is getting so big!

This morning when I went to get him, he was on his back! I have recently started putting him on his belly at bedtime and he is sleeping great through the night, so this morning when I went in and he was on his back I thought, FINALLY! I mean, he has rolled over a time or two before but has never been interested really, something tells me this little boy is a "go with the flow" kid. Which is great with me. AT least I finally have a milestone to put in his scrapbook, haha!

With my mom on Sunday, I started giving him a little rice cereal for the first time and he was so funny. For as ready as he has been to start solid foods, he certainly didn't gobble it up like I thought he would. In fact, he didn't even know to open his mouth, I had to wiggle the liquidy stuff into his mouth and then he just spit it out. So funny. He did do a little better yesterday so we will see what this afternoon brings for me!

At the end of this I will put a pic of Logan up of him pretending to use my breastpump! NICE! Is this going to traumatize him forever? haha maybe he will be more sympathetic to his wife someday, who knows!

Busy Bee or OCD?

Well, I have been quite busy lately...when I get something in my head that needs to be done, I can't stop til it's done! I have had the idea lately to start getting Logan out of his crib. First off, he has never climbed out (well he FELL out once and has never done it since) but the poor lad is starting to run out of room. Especially since he has to sleep with 500 "friends", his fave book of choice and a blanket. Dear Mercy me...
anywoo, the past couple weeks I have been on craigslist, ebay and every bedding site under the sun to decide what I wanted to do to make his "big boy room" something he would love for years to come....(drum roll please...)
I found the bed set on craigslist, practically new since it was just their guest bedroom and although I am really creeped out usually by used mattresses, this one is virtually brand new, (not gross, and very comfy)! Besides after Jason and I went "new" mattress shopping and saw how muy expensive mattresses are we thought...when he's older we'll get him a superb one that he can take with him when he's outta here someday!
So, the bedset was pine, I painted it til midnight for two days (thank God for the recent beautiful weather) and I am very happy with how it turned out!

Fun in the pool!

So Happy 4th of July everyone! Yesterday we went to my in-laws and went swimming for the first time this summer! How sad my kids have seriously been deprived. With a gimpy arm there has been NO WAY I could handle two kids in the pool so we hadn't gone yet. We put Gavin in the pool for a little while, he looked so cute in his suit! I love it when they are so little that you can put nerdy hats on them and they have to comply...tee heee.
Logan was so fun swimming, we worked with him on kicking and blowing bubbles and he did really well. He even went underwater, (hated it but didn't cry)...Logan is like me in that he HATES getting his face wet, he and I are such wimps.
Last night we had our neighbors over for a "grill out". According to my Ohio neighbor, it isn't a BBQ (ahem, Tiffany...) it's a grill out since it says grill on the outside apparently. Whatever I say, as long as there is yummy food I will be there!

Okay so poor Logan looks slightly dorky with his hat, but...it was HOT and my kids are TERRIBLY WHITE. Those two together makes me a nerdy mom whose kid swims in a shirt and a nerdy hat! Maybe someday he'll thank me when they don't have skin cancer. :-)

Here I am!

Hey fellow blogging friends! I am finally jumping on the bandwagon of blogging (again)! I think it's such a fun way to keep in touch and write down those cute memories of our kids that we would otherwise forget! It's always the little things that make us look back and have fond memories right? So here I am, I am trying to make a cute page so I may be calling one of you to see how it all works...Creative or somewhat creative blog to follow...hehe
