Our latest on the house!

So we signed papers in September for the house we will be having built in Gilbert. They finally broke ground last week after a little hiccup (not one that we cared about, it was some silly zoning issue, whatev) Sooo, the kids and I have been driving by to watch the progress. I am excited for them to get to see their new home be built from the ground up. Last time J and I had a house built I was prego with Logan :) I wanted to post a pic but that was back in the day before we had this computer so I don't have it stored on here.

So here is the house last Friday...

And then we went again this week and it was being framed! The kids loved watching the guys "put the house together" and we had a blast playing at the park, meeting the neighbors and playing in our new "yard".

Oh and I am so stoked with this new beauty I just had to post it! This is going to be my "new" (if you consider rotting wood "new" that is) coffee table for the living room. I have BIG plans for that room and can't wait to get started!!

Here we go again!

Well sad but true, it has been 2 years since I have done the "blogging" thing. At the time when I would try to blog it began to feel more like homework and I didn't have the desire to sit down and just write. As a mother, I am huge on the whole "scrapbooking" thing so scrapbooking is how I document those memories and create a time capsule of my kids as they grow.

Jason and I have our tenth anniversary this year!!! (can't believe I'm old enough to be married ten years, although we were babies when we got married!)  Our entire marriage has been blessed with beautiful homes that I have thoroughly enjoyed and felt inadequate to be so blessed to have them, but this year something clicked inside of us both that said, "What are we doing?" "Is this the life we feel that God wants us to lead?" And the answer for us was a very clear "NO!" We have always lived "far out" or in BFE as everyone describes it. In the past we always felt like the value of the home was more important than driving in to everything. We wanted "more bang for your buck" I guess you could say. But this year, everything changed and we didn't want the "huge, gorgeous house in the middle of nowehere" anymore.
Jason and I like to think of ourselves as fairly simple people. It doesn't take much to make us tick and we have never had the desire for ritzy things. So, why we have a 3700 sf house with a $500 a month SRP bill is beyond me, and that's why we are going to change!!
And of course, being 40 mins away from our parents and friends is the driving force for this decision, and when God has a plan, it happens with no effort and no worry, which is exactly what we are being blessed with right now.
We rented our house within one hour of posting it on Craigslist (which is another strange story meant for another day...) We found a home we can make our own (IN TOWN!! and in our price range!!) Which has never been the case when we had looked prior to this!
Anyhoo, long story long WE ARE MOVING and I couldn't be happier to see what this next chapter brings!

I have such a passion for junk and decorating, DIY, anything that comes to making a space suit my family and so I have decided to document our journey along the way. Most of the time, the ideas in my head do not transpire the way I want them to in real life. But I am willing to give it a shot and learn along the way :)

Ok since Im back heres some cute pics

Gavin was trying so hard to pick up that pumpkin, it was quite funny and I was sad for him that he couldn't do it even though he was so determined. Cute hat but I didnt buy it cause he ripped it right off.
Halloween pics, our little Alligator and super hero had a successful year trick-or-treating :) Poor Logan look crazy weird in his pic, couldnt tell til I posted it. Oh and I posted our family pics on the next post so check it out. Tiffany you will be so proud of me :)

Family Pics

This year family pics didn't go as well as I had planned since we had to wake Gavin up from his nap to make it on time, he made us pay through the whole session by whining. :) Luckily, we have a great photographer so he managed to trick Gavin into some cute poses :)

Single Parent :)

Well here I am, another year has gone by and it is once again time for Jason to go hunting! :) Seems like it is always that time for some reason, haha. I am honestly enjoying the solitude and being on my own schedule with the kids. If I didn't work last night I might be a little more peppy but overall I think I am doing pretty dang well. Especially since every year, whomever Jason hunts with, their wives call every 5 minutes and the guys end up going home early. Not me! Just another reason for Jason to appreciate me and my independence, lol.
Anyone want a play date? Gimme a hollar!
Can't wait to make up for his 1 1/2 weeks hunting with lots of scrapbook time!

San Francisco

Well! I know I am the worst blogger ever so I decided to give it another try! I just feel like my posts are boring since my life is boring, but I will try to appear cool for all of your reading purposes!

Jason and I do have something exciting to talk about, we went on a getaway to San Fran this past weekend! We hadn't gone anywhere just the two of us since before Gavin was born so I decided it was time! (especially since it took me 15 months to quit breastfeeding!!!!)

We had a great time and the kids didn't miss us a bit. My mother-in-law watched them at our house Wed and Thurs and then my parents took them Thurs night to their house. After my mom got off work on Fri they went camping and the boys had a blast!

Here are a few pics of our trip, there are more on facebook!

Shoppin Fun

Today I met my parents for lunch at the Farmhouse Restaurant in Gilbert and seriously had the best omelet EVER (except for Jason's of course)! I honestly almost HATE eating out because I normally don't think eating out is very good but this omelet makes me want to go everyday!
After lunch(yes I had an omelet for lunch but it was 1130 and I never ate bfast...) my sweet amazing dad took the kids to my parents' house and my mom and I went shopping. This is very exciting for me because growing up my poor mom always struggled with her weight and was never into clothes. Well, I am here to say she has lost 110 lbs and looks AMAZING! Now, we can go shop and actually bought the same shirt today in two very close to each other sizes!

Hence my story: before my SIL wedding my mom who is very frugal treated herself to a 45 dollar top at Ann Taylor Loft. Well of course she decided to wait til she "reaches her goal" to lose 15 more lbs and so we went back today so she could return it. Well she returned it all right and the lady never told her it had gone down to $14.99! Soooo, I turned right around and bought it for her again (she was too chicken to go back to the register) and I bought the same one. It's so cure, If I wasnt being lazy I would download it and show you.

Anyway, I have not been blogging since the camera I thought was working actually really did break, and its no fun to blog w no pics, so I JUST bought another and when I figure out how to download them I will start posting pics of my poor pic deprived children! tee hee

I had an awesome day with my mom and am so thankful my dad is so great with my kiddies, Jason went fishing with his dad today so it was nice to break up the day since he is doing a stand in tomorrow and then he works Monday. Phhhtttt.

Odds and Ends

It has been busy for me planning my SIL's wedding shower, it was this last Sat and I think it was a huge hit! I threw her a Pampered Chef shower, (love the stuff best quality out there!) and she ended up getting everything on her list! Granted she has been on her own so she already had some stuff but I was excited for her. I would post pictures but at the time of the shower I thought my poor camera was broken...
Another story: A couple weeks ago I was going in to work for a Radiology meeting at the Hospital and I threw my FULL water bottle in my purse...well next thing I knew I had water pouring out of my canvas purse all over me. I went in the bathroom and had a huge puddle of water with my lovely camera right there in the middle. I will admit I don't take the best care of my camera but lo and behold it has been good to me because I tried it out tonight before I started researching them online to buy a new one (which I was not excited about spending money on) and it worked! YAY for me, so here are a few pics that were in there. I have some of Gavin I am trying to catch up with him not having as many as his big bro...The 2nd and third pic are of him watching Signing Time yay for that, he loves it and I can get stuff done. He was super sick last week with a fever of 104 that I couldn't get to break. After 2 Dr's visits it was always just Tonsillitis so yay for not needing antibiotics (I hate them) but it was a rough week, especially trying to plan a bridal shower...I am so happy I have my happy boy back, it's rough when he's sick. I think he will be like me and always get sore throats so that is no fun!
The next pic shows what a stinker he is, unlike Logan my pleaser boy, Gavin will look right at me and be naughty. He likes to push the water lever down so water gushes all over the floor. The water tank is currently in the garage until we outgrow this phase(I also want to paint it white but haven't had a chance)
The last pic makes me win mommy of the year! He is into EVERYTHING so obviously we are noew keeping the bathroom doors shut at all times which is hard to remember but very imprtant. Ew not to mention scary!

Go Cards!

I know, I know....It has been a month since I have written anything and the 1st thing I write about is that we are going to the Superbowl! Well in my house, this is the best thing to have ever happened in Jason's life (besides me and the kids of course, hope so anyway!) He has been a Cardinals fan since they moved here and especially since I have known him. Every game he would watch in frustration at them always losing, get ticked off, turn off the TV and then torture himself again 5 mins later by turning it back on. So FINALLY, we are good and he is Super excited which makes me happy for him and them and everyone who is a Bandwagon fan like me...

It's been busy in our house, but that is a blessing since most people are having a hard time with work, i won't complain that I have too many hours. I love my job and the kids get daddy time so it's been nice, but now for the rest of January I have a break so I am looking forward to more family time and scrapbook time :) I had a blast with you Tiffany on Friday,,,you other two...ahem Delanie and Tasha you have some explaining to do, you can make it up to me when Tiffany has that little girl and she is stuck to the boob to much to come with us! K?

I am boring and cant think of anything else to say except that Gavin finally has a decent bedtime so I finally have quiet time and I am going to go utilize it.Tata for now :-)

My babe is 10 months today!

Today Gavin is 10 months and part of me thinks it went so fast and another feels like he's been here forever. I think shoulder surgery in the mix and me not able to hold him for two months made it go fast and slow in certain parts (glad that's over).
It's so funny how very different the two boys are...Gavin is so laid back and content. The only time he is upset is when he wants love and to be held (which lately has been alot :) He has such a sweet spirit and is so stoic, he just quietly takes life in. Now if I can just get him to eat food and not the boob milk all day...that's gonna be quite the feat. Jason and I joke that for his 1st bday we will have to make him a cake that looks like a boob or he won't want anything to do with it. HAHA
I love you Gavin, sweet boy!

Finally some family pics!!!

Posted by Picasa

How funny! I didnt realize this posted, oops! I started to post some pics and one of the kids needed me (shocker) so I never got to finish! We had some pics (228 to be exact) done by my dad's friend the other day and I was very happy with how they turned out. The place wasn't what we were hoping for...he got kicked out of the gorgeous place we were supposed to go! (more on that later since I can't be late for yoga!) Anyway here are a few pics and I will TRY to post more later but since I work at 1 I doubt it will happen. Miss everyone!

Pint Sized Date!

Its been forever since I have posted. I am learning I am not a good blogger, I tried xanga a couple years ago and never did it much when Logan was a baby and now I hardly do it on here! I have not been on the computer much but not sure why. I guess it's not the easiest place to be with a 3 yr old and 9month old destroying everything. Nap times are never at the same time so there ya go. I miss everyone!!
Anyone enough of my excuses, Gavin has had a runny nose the last few days so yesterday instead of a family day, it turned into Jason staying home with Gavin while I went to church with Logan. (I was serving in the nursery so had to stick with the ol committment.) After, I decided Logan and I haven't had much one on one time since the boob addicted baby has been around so we went out just the two of us: After church we went to Paradise Bakery at San Tan Mall and split tomato soup and a salad (he loves that) then we went to his fave place Barnes and Noble where they have a Thomas the Train table. he played and I just watched him and his little brain work, it was nice to watch him and play with no other distractions and see how big he is getting. Then we went to the play area and I watched him play for awhile, went to a couple stores, saw the dogs and then played AGAIN for awhile before heading home. I love dates with him and it had been awhile so we were very overdo. It is so neat to see how he has grown and is talking like he is an adult or something, when did that happen? Anyway I love him!

Other news: none, I have just been doing my super deep clean I do every year before Thanksgiving. I know my guests have no idea I just cleaned the fans but I like to have everything clean before I decorate for Christmas which always happens in our house AFTER thanksgiving. I have too many cute Fall things I dont like to pass up, and besides, people are coming over for Thanksgiving, not Christmas. (If any of you decorate beforehand, kudos to you, I am not preaching I am against it, and have even thought about doing that, but my house is cuter with Fall stuff and this is my rationale to be lazy :-)

Well if I dont get back on here in the next few days, HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!

Photo Tag!

Here is the 4th photo in my fourth file. It is Gavin's 7 month folder! You almost got pictures of curtain rods I was selling but luckily that was the 3rd pic!

Happy Halloween

So last night we had so much fun. We went across the street to my neighbors for our tradition of having her yummy burrito things for dinner. I forget what its called but its yummy! We have the best neighbors ever and have become good friends and all our kids play so well. They are all older than my kids but now that Logan is able to play with them, they have so much fun and are very protective of him.
After dinner we rushed to finish putting on costumes and off we went! This is the first year Logan didnt cry and scream the whole time so it was a much more enjoyable holiday for everyone. My In laws came over to see the kids dressed up and my brother too. We had a great time! So the first pic is last year, haha. What a difference thank goodness. Gavin was tired so he passed out for most of trick or treating, I was just glad he didnt cry. (And he kept the hat on, something Logan wouldn't do when he wore that constume. Logan had fun riding in his chariot, and much fun was had by all!

HAPPY BDAY BABY!

Logan turned three on Friday and I just want everyone to know how amazing he is! He is the sweetest most loving boy to his family and baby brother. Loves hugs and kisses and says the cutest things (except lately sounding like he's saying the F word, NICE!) He loves having his back scratched and snuggling at night before bed, he hates to brush his teeth, always wants string cheese for breakfast and a waffle with peanut butter, he LOVES milk and would drink it all the time if I let him. Favorite shows are Mickey Mouse, barney and signing time. he loves to color and cut paper lately and is starting to get into crafts. He has gotten so big and we are so blessed to have him!
